RETTS provides answers to the following questions:
- How acutely ill is the patient?
- The medical condition?
- Optimal management?
Used at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Sweden since 2005
RETTS was introduced in the Accident and Emergency Department at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Sweden in 2005. A collaborative development process was then initiated in the Nordic countries, and is ongoing. RETTS is now used by most county councils, regions and ambulance organisations in Sweden and Norway.
RETTS was initially developed in a hard copy format but is now also available online, thus decreasing the risk of loss of information.
RETTS Sim is the system’s training module. This provides an opportunity for individual staff members or an entire ward to train on fictive patient cases.
