RETTS was developed for use in the field of emergency medicine but the system is already in use in several other areas.
Although RETTS was primarily intended for use in the field of emergency medicine, the system is currently used in other situations where various medical conditions may arise.
Many organisations use RETTS to improve patient safety at all levels of medical care. RETTS can be implemented directly at the accident scene, thus contributing to safer pre-hospital care and a safer handover to acute medical care at hospital.
The primary healthcare sector serves a very heterogeneous patient group with a wide variety of symptoms and conditions. In cases of acute illness, RETTS may be used as a decision support system to decide how patients are to be further cared for, and by whom.
The RETTS system may be used to ensure a high level of patient safety in the care of the elderly and patients with multiple conditions. The use of the RETTS system provides an extra assurance for those staff members who do not primarily work with emergency medicine. This also improves the working environment.
RETTS can now be integrated into other providers’ systems and services. This includes, among other things, various medical record systems and other systems used in the pre-hospital healthcare environment.
As a RETTS license holder, you have the right to use RETTS with other system providers that collaborate with Predicare AB.
